General Public System Notifications

General announcements, system updates, and important information created by the Optifora technical team

What are Public Notifications?

This is the section where general announcements, system updates, planned maintenance notifications, and important information concerning all users are shared by the Optifora technical team. These notifications are updated periodically and are open to all Optifora users.

A public announcement is not your own notification

Public announcements concern every user and are open to all. The notifications you open yourself belong to your organisation alone and are not visible to other organisations.

What a public announcement contains

  • TitleThe single-line summary of the announcement; it is the first line you read.
  • CategoryShows which topic group the announcement belongs to; an announcement without a category is marked as general.
  • DateThe day the announcement was created; the list reads from the newest to the oldest.
  • PriorityThe badge that shows how urgent the announcement is; it sits next to the title.
  • DescriptionThe body of the announcement. Long texts are shortened in the list view; the whole text stays in the announcement's own record.

Priority badges

The badges run from immediate down to normal. A badge shows how urgent the underlying work is, not how quickly the announcement was published.

Immediate High Medium Normal

How the list works

  1. The source is the support systemThe announcements are read from the records in the support system; no separate copy is kept on the promotional site.
  2. The list is pagedAnnouncements are shown page by page; a page holds ten announcements and you can move back and forth between pages.
  3. An empty list is not an empty screenIf there is no announcement to show, the list is not left blank; a card that explains the situation is shown instead.
