Who may train
Occupational health and safety training is delivered by the safety specialist, the workplace physician and, depending on the subject, people whose competence is certified. Where a subject requires specialist competence — electrical work, work at height, chemicals, first aid — that subject's own authorisation regime applies.
Who verifies the certificate
The party organising the training verifies the trainer's certificate and adds it to the record. What an inspection asks is not that training happened, but who delivered it and whether they were authorised for the subject.
No record, no training
The attendance list, date, duration, subject headings and the trainer's identity are kept together. If one is missing the training does not count as delivered; a signature sheet alone is not enough.
