Leading indicator dashboard: the items you can see before an accident

Accident counts describe the past. The planned scope of this module is to gather the items that build up before an accident into a single board and make them followable period by period.

This page is for organisations and managers who do not want to measure OHS performance by accident counts alone.

What it covers

The headings below describe the target scope of the module; they do not describe a screen you can open today.

  • Indicator definitionThe organisation chooses which item it will follow; the definition of every indicator stays on the record.
  • Source recordAn indicator is read from the organisation's own records in the portal; it does not depend on a separate manual entry list.
  • Period and targetA monitoring period and a target value are set for every indicator.
  • BreakdownThe value is examined with a breakdown by site, by unit and by period.
  • TrendHow a value moves between periods is visible on the board.
  • Output to reportThe board view turns into a report that can be shared.

What this page states and does not state

Which indicator to follow is the organisation's own decision. This page does not propose a particular indicator list or target value.
