Where the list comes from
An inspection checklist is derived from the risk assessment, past events and findings of earlier inspections. Another workplace's list does not ask about your hazards, and what it does ask may not exist in your workplace.
How a question is written
Each item asks one thing and can be answered by observation. "Is electrical safety adequate" cannot be answered; "is the panel cover closed and locked" can. When the answer is yes or no, the finding is clear.
Who, and how often
Inspection is not only the specialist's job. A supervisor's short weekly round catches different things from the specialist's detailed monthly one. Frequency follows the area's risk.
After a finding
If findings are recorded but not closed, inspection is just a counter. Each finding becomes a task with an owner and a date; a recurring finding goes back to the risk assessment.
In Optifora
The audit module builds the list against the area and its risks, turns findings into tasks and surfaces recurring items.
