One drawing per door
A drawing is read from the point where it hangs. What is in front of the reader is at the top of the drawing, and the "you are here" mark shows the real position. Posting the same drawing at four points in a building is therefore the most common mistake: each mounting point needs its own.
What it shows
Where you are, escape routes and their directions, exits, the assembly point, extinguisher and cabinet locations, the alarm call point and the first aid cabinet. More than that makes it unreadable; it is a wayfinding aid, not a technical drawing.
Readability
The drawing hangs at eye level, lit and unobstructed. One behind glass, behind a door or near the ceiling is a drawing that does not exist.
Currency
When a wall, door, partition or use changes, the drawing changes. One showing an old layout misdirects in an emergency.
In Optifora
The evacuation plan module produces the drawing against a mounting point; it issues a separate version for each, and when the layout changes it produces a new one while keeping the old version.
