Top ten divisions by accident count
SGK publishes sector statistics at NACE division level (two digits). The table below shows 2025 reports for schemes 4/a and 4/b together; sector pages use the same method for their totals.

The fatality ranking is different
The place with the most accidents is not automatically the place with the most deaths. By deaths the order is: construction of buildings 360, land transport and transport via pipelines 289, civil engineering 145, specialised construction activities 81, and manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products 66. Adding the three construction divisions (41, 42, 43) gives 82,024 accidents and 586 deaths — 30.1% of all occupational accident deaths in the country.
Accommodation and food service draw the opposite profile: 93,858 accidents and 73 deaths. High accident volume, low fatality share.
Occupational disease has its own ranking
Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products leads occupational disease reports with 100 cases, followed by manufacture of motor vehicles with 78 and basic metals with 54. The national total is 916 cases.
