Every source is named
No table on this site carries a hand-typed number. Every table and calculator reads from a data set, and the list of sets with their provider, download date and size is published on the resources page. Twenty-four sets are live today.
Türkiye sources
Accident and occupational disease counts come from the annual statistics of the social security institution. Administrative fines come from the labour ministry's publication, with the fines under the five other labour acts kept in a separate set; the amounts change every year with the revaluation rate, and the set records the rate for the year. Workplace hazard classes are extracted from the annex of the communiqué on the national legislation information system. Periodic inspection periods come from the annex of the work equipment regulation.
European and international sources
Accidents at work in Europe, greenhouse gas emissions, the energy balance and waste generation come from Eurostat; occupational injuries worldwide from ILOSTAT; working time, sickness absence and air pollution from the OECD; country carbon footprints from World Bank open data together with Climate TRACE. OSH and environment data sets are also pulled from the European Union open data portal.
National legislation and emission factors
Penalties and inspection duties are taken from the official legislation portals of the member states: gesetze-im-internet.de for Germany, Normattiva for Italy and legislation.gov.uk for the United Kingdom. On the United States side, OSHA civil penalties come from the eCFR, and fatal injuries and injury and illness rates from the BLS CFOI and SOII publications. Emission factors are read from US EPA and UK DESNZ/Defra publications. Country names come from Unicode CLDR.
How refreshes work
When a source publishes a new edition the set is downloaded again; because the page reads the figure from the set, the value updates on its own. Which set came from which provider and when is written on the resources page, and the tables those sets feed are collected on the tools page.
